The Psychic Center 2, 2012, Oils on Canvas, 60” x 30”
I’ve been thinking a lot about all the reasoning behind why my art has changed so much since going to school in Chicago. I’m sitting outside today, spending hours in the beautiful Denver sun, and I’m remembering what it feels like to feel hot again - to feel the sun down to the heels of my feet and in every heartbeat. I’m not saying it’s bad, but my art has become much colder.
Today, I celebrate this growth and the recognize my transformation as an artist over the last year by posting this painting that was completed almost a year ago today. It remains to be one of my favorites.
